Somewhat pricey considering the amount of competition in Houghton Lake. A few beers and a small order of fried mushrooms came to $21. Too steep for a snack if you ask me. Burger prices were up there too. Moved on down the road. Wanted to check the place out. Outdoor patio looked nice.

I understand their are new owners, this is for the previous owner who was a complete ASS. Went a couple times and each time treated very poorly. Went to sit at a table outside and was told it was reserved for a party coming at 6 pm...which was over a hour away and we would of been gone. As we got up to leave he chased us down and tried to apologize but this was the 3rd strike. It was a great place before this jerk bought it...And yes he did think his family were something special...wrong!!! He came in raised the prices and lowered the amount of food...WAS a good place to go for Friday fish....Please note this was the previous owner and I haven't been to check out the new.

The place is like a yesterdays redneck with a once over. The prices and the owners felling of being the above you keeps me out. The local people do not go there any more. I suggest to go to the other side of lake.

Owner is just out to make a buck. He is not in it for customer service or satisfaction. Waited 40 mins for a sandwich and 2 fried fish dinners (the special) asked to pay for drinks (which were never refilled) and was told that we would have to pay for the food that we ordered or the sheriff would be called. What a joke, treated like criminals for just being hungry. After that was told to never return, that is no problem. Will never be back. You think in a small resort town that you would be treated kindly and the fact of being a small town that you would want to take care of the community. Do not go! I would hate for anyone to put their hard earned money in this guys pocket.

Great place to connect with friends and the service is great. Summer is fun with the outdoor patio.
